We are located 4 minutes off the Island highway between Duncan and Nanaimo. Our store is on the main thoroughfare in the lovely town of Chemainus BC. With dedicated parking for our clientele.

Our History

Our family's business, Vann Bowed Instruments, was founded in 1975. The Rococo Violin Shop relocated to Prince George, British Columbia in 1991, and after 32 years moved the business back to Vancouver Island.

The Rococo Violin Shop owned and operated by Luthier Rachele Turgeon has a long tradition of supporting string education and players. With over four decades of experience assisting professional players, she is an asset within the music community in her field of expertise. The Rococo Violin Shop prioritizes using quality materials in its instrument set-up & repair process, along with proper bows for beginners to achieve the best possible start to their musical experience.

Our services for professional players

Our services are comprehensive. We undertake instrument restorations, repairs, and bow rehairing and repair. We provide instrument evaluations through Vann Bowed Instrument Ltd. In addition, we maintain a reliable rental program with properly setup instruments and accessories.
