Cariboo Chilcoton Youth Fiddle Society
The community comes together to put on fantastic shows every year. Their shows are a must see! If you and your family would like to get away and partake in a great family experience - keep these shows in mind.
The Society hosts a multitude of well known groups, fiddlers, and group activities. They hold weeklong workshops AND they have travelled across Canada for a 1 week music festival on the east coast and have also hosted a group of east coast fiddlers last fall in Williams Lake. Their next adventure...they hope to travel to Scotland in 2020. But in the meantime, they stay active in their community by bringing music themed shows (full out costumes and sets) and family barn dances (hosted at the Onward Ranch) to the city of Williams Lake and Barkerville.
CCYFS regularly brings in Gordon Stobbe and J.J. Guy and groups like Cod Gone Wild

Former violinist of the Kamloops Symphony, Ingrid and her husband Ty operate one of the the older historic ranches in BC. And if that doesn't keep her busy enough, she has four children and also teaches one of the most successful fiddle groups in the area. Which by the way she pulled together alongside many dedicated, amazing parents many years ago!
The great successes her students were showing encouraged more people to get involved. The Fiddle Society was formed. A group of hard working parents that now help out tremendously especially with all the logistics; enabling Ingrid to focus on teaching and enjoying her home life.
